Marjolaine’s history dates back to the interwar period, in a small shop in Lyon’s Villeurbanne commune, when Roger Millet Desdoitils wanted to expand his business internationally. However, the post-war period was difficult and Desdoitils decided to create a new collection, exploring the region by selling his new vintage lingerie products.
This is when Marjolaine was truly created. Now with over 70 years’ worth of experience, which has been passed through the generations from father to daughter, and now to grandchild, the company’s approach combines traditional manufacturing with more modern techniques.
Innovation is the brand’s key word in terms of both materials and style. Each season Marjolaine offers up a wide range of new lingerie, including silk nightdresses and babydolls, catering to all women for both daytime and night-time pieces. Marjolaine’s mission is to elicit pleasure in those who wear its garments whilst also constantly evolving, by creating tailor-made patterns made out of silk and Calais lace, the brand’s signature fabric.
